The Broker — What It Is
TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It says the person running this has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. But more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.
The broker opened with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: forex, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.
Platforms
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Access to both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is the default. Full charting, EAs, huge user base. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be in the works. That should round things out once it is live.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Works for beginners.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is often under 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade can be under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not for the average person. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
This is where TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers operate at a much wider range.
Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package is strong. Hardly anyone in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
Now, the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in Equinix connectivity. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does inform how you think about it.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade has bonus funds of up to two thousand dollars. Standard deposit match. You deposit, TabTrade credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Read the conditions before funding.
